Tranfering from lap top to PC

I record speaches on my lap top, and have about 100 or so there about 45 min. each.I want to save then to my PC so I don't fill up the HD on laptop.I can transfer them useing shared folders .
What I like to know if ther is a faster way,and how I could go about it . Thanks in advance for any replys.

At the top of my head, no. Though, if your network had giga-ethernet connections, then yes, the speed of the transfer will be faster. But, not only do the desktop and the laptop have to have giga-ehternet, but the switch or router needs it also.

Well, to give a non-professial answer. I have no idea. Never tried it.

But, how long does it take to transfer your files, over your network?

 

The size of the whole folder i'm tranfering is 33gig's. I was useing wireless on the lap top and tryed one folder at a time 3min's + . Changed over to land and took about 40 sec. to do one folder. i'm doing the whole folder.It's going alot faster then I though it would take. 60 min. left.I didn't think I could transfer all that that quick. Guess theres a faster way but im happy with this. I won't wait so long to put them on the PC.from now on.I'll let ya know how long it takes to do it all. 45min. left. Thanks

1hour 33.7 gig transfered and working. Now I can clean up the lap top.Can you tell this is the first time I did this
