Transcoding TivoToGo...

I need to convert .tivo files into mpegs or even .avi's, right now I've been using a program called GraphEdit and a mind numbing combination of filters.
First, is there another program available to do this? I've googled but didn't really turn anything up.
The second problem is the video I transcode (from .tivo to .mpg) slips sync when I load it into the video editing software (Pinnacle's LiquidEditionPro).
My sync problem is probably occuring in Liquid, becuase when I play the mpg file from a media player, the sync is fine.
Anybody know Liquid and can explain why my video can't keep up?
My hardware should be able to keep up, P4 3.2ghx with a gig of RAM and Raedon X600 card.
