Trend Micro Housecall 6.5 Online Scanner Doesn't Work!!!

I've been trying to run Trend Micro Housecall's online scanner using java. I get to the point where you pick a complete system scan, or a specific folder scan. & than after that the online scanner's red progress bar will continue moving with the word "preparing" under it for over 20 minutes.

That never used to happen to me when I used regularly a year ago. It used to "prepare" for about 60 seconds. So I just close the internet window now because I never used to experience that. I wanted to know if there's a problem with it, or with my system?

Please do not suggest that I run one of those lengthy "run me first" sticky procedures to check my pc for infections. My pc is FINE and has no problems at all. I'd just like to know why Trend Micro isn't working.
