Treo 650/700 smartphones any good?

really thinking about upgrading my phone to a treo. Not sure which model. Played with a 650p here at work. Was pretty nice. Can get refurbished 650's off ebay for 160 bucks , which seems like a good deal.

I need the functionality of the phone but don't need to surf the web with it. Just wondering what you guys/gals thought of the treo series and if you had any experience with them.

everyone I know at work is dumping their Treo's 'cuz they suck (random rebooting, dropping calls, etc...almost everyone that brings their Treo in make a comment about wanting to throw it out our 20th floor window), and are either getting the Samsung Blackjack or the Cingular 8125.

 

I have a Treo650 and love it. But, I do think it depends on what you plan on using it for. Use mine mainly for things other than the phone part (listening to music, playing games, contacts, email, surfin' the net, etc). I don't chat a lot on the phone but haven't had any dropped calls. I mainly got it to replace my old Palm. The fact I only paid $50 CDN for it (NOT refurbished) is probably another reason I like it.
