treo 650 Sprint won't beam

    I have a Treo 650 Sprint with Palm 5.4.8 Software. It will not receive or send a beam. I have already checked in Preferences/Power and verified that the beam receive option is set 'on'.

    Other than checking if the beamer is broken, is there any other possibility for what may be causing this problem?
