Trillian Probs.

I have trillian (free edition) MSN wont connect AIM and yahoo cannect fine. I need MSN working (its job realated). please help ..............BTW I have 2mb cable and ZA pro ( I have tryed turning off Za pro and MSN still wont cannect ) iv scaned for spywhare with adaware and scaned with nortan corprit...please please help ...........

 

no error mess. It just wont connect .

 

Tried both, Nether worked .............Now it connects for about 2sec out of every min. vary agravating .........

 

Is your Trillian up to date?

 

I just fired mine up and it works okay. You might not have the latest update.

 

make sure you have version "f"

I installed the F patch and still no go on MSN ............

 

well, I had a similar problem with my MSN connection. the "F" patch didn't work either, so I just backed up my defualt user folder to save my ICQ list and uninstalled/reinstalled trillian. Fixed it, but I'd only suggest that as last ditch, it took me a day to sort my lists again, it just kind of jumbled them all up.

 

whenever mine doesn't connect I go in and replace the current stored password with the one that is supposed to work, save settings, and try to global reconnect. If that doesn't work, I delete the saved one, save, try to reconnect, put the password back in, try reconnecting again. That almost always (if not always) has worked for me. Please note that I am using trillian pro, not the free one, so it may not work.

 

Regular MSN works but Trillain dont ...............

i would completely uninstall it and reinstall it. if that doesn't work, i don't know what to tell you. i have problems w/ the yahoo connection, and I also have the F patch. but its not that big of a deal to me, so I run both trillian and yahoo messenger.

I had the same problem w/ MSN and Trillian, when I uninstalled and reinsalled it fixed itself W/ the latest update of MSN. Are you sure you have the latest update?

Sorry, you need to get the patch from the Trillian website NOT MSN. But still I got the patch, reinstalled and everything was fine. If it doesn't work, there must be another problem.SilverD

 

i also had trillian and i never could connect to msn through it. and i have msn 6.1 version, but as long as i took trillian off i can connect fine, but the minute i try to fire trillian up with icq,msn and yahoo the msn will not connect either.so you are not the only one.

I already got it installed...........

 

And...

I'm on MSN 6.0. I had aproblem connecting to AIM and ICQ but foud that if I put in my SN/UIN and password then automatically connect to this account on start up for both AIM and ICQ it does.

Did you uninstall it in some time? I edited my last post, I'm on MSN 6.0, that may make a difference.

I have Trillian, also. This was my action... Uninstall Trillian, install the patch, reinstall Trillian. It works fine.
