triumph stag worst car of 1970

i had one of these in 1973 it was one of the sexiest cars around at the time.
the only way to keep it running was to change the motor (i used a rover 3.5 v8)
that was basically a de-tuned Buick motor but if you changed the oil pump and bolted on 4 barrel holly carburetors nothing on the road could catch it.

 

I was driving a Triumph Spitfire (1966) in the early 70th a lot of fun I sold it after I finished restoring an old MGB

 

I never liked the spitfire always thought it was trying to be a sports car but without the class.

the MGB was a car with breeding but its predecessor the MGA had more style
