   I am trying to get into removing this pest but my system is running so slow it looks like it will take days. I am currently trying to get my Win XP to run in safe mode and the system has been booting up for over 1 hour and is not at the safe mode desktop yet. There is hard drive activity. Any suggestions?

   Not much choice but to wait - unless you pull the drive and try cleaning on another system. Of course, then you run the risk of infecting the 2nd box.
