    Hello,

    Today I received a notice that many of my files were infected with the TROJ_GENERIC.ADV trojan. Upon browsing many tech support forums I think this might be a false positive. I have posted a HijackThis! log if it helps any. If this is a false positive how can I resolve it?

    I am using Trend Micro if it helps any.

    A HijackThis log is of no use whatsoever for something like this.

    Exactly what files are being detected (give us a log) and did you allow TrendMicro to fix them? Did it fix them? They have a removal tool for this infection:
