Troj_Sirefef.dam Desktop.ini Win 7

Hello,

Can anyone help me to clean this trojen from my system?

I have in the last week notice my PC redirecting me to different sites and stalling etc.

I have run a full system scan using 2012 Trend Micro, it keeps finding to issues that I cant resolve, the first one is TROJ_SIREFEF.DAM in C:\windows\assembly\gac_64\desktop.ini and C:\windows\assembly\gac_32\desktop.ini

The second issue is PTCH_SIREFEF.PTC in C:\windows\system32\services.exe

The virus scanner detects them does a reboot but they are detected again.

I have run Malware Bytes,spybot search and destroy and RougeKiller.

I have read your post on cleaning malware but can not find the download link for MGTOOLS so I can get a log.

Please help.

Thanks Tim, I have managed to clean my PC overnight using advise that was given to others on this site.

I will let you know if the problems reoccur, its been good all day today. Fingers crossed.
