I have one stubborn file which I believe to be a virus (owvzhrp.dll), and I remain unable to delete and a second related file, which I can't even find.
They appear to be browser helper objects for windows explorer, and I have "disabled" them on the IE options screen. Given that they were "disabled", the problem appeared a stalemate and was just left.

A new behavior then developed in which Firefox would spontaneously run, even after this program had been uninstalled from the system.
Observations over time then revealed that upon start-up, resume from hibernation, a new directory was created c:\program files\common files\mozilla; in which all the firefox files were either downloaded or recreated (without my permission or knowledge).
When internet connection was disconnected, files would not appear, assuming therefore it was a triggered download.
I was able to delete the mozilla directory but unable to delete the apparantly problematic file owvzhrp.dll (apparantly due to its linking to a running process)
and unable to to edit the registry as I lacked permission (even though I ran regedit an the administrator)
Looking at the files details identified the original file name as SMVERI32.DLL,
and an internet search brought me to your website.
I have downloaded and installed the programs in the Read First category, but have gotten different error messages with subsequent runs of the same programs. The unwanted Mozilla/FireFox downloads have stopped, but the trojan apparantly persists, can you help?

During my first run of CCleaner it was associated with the following error categories:
    Adware.Vundo/Variant-MSFake
Subsequent runs of CCleaner have failed to identify any problems.
