:( Hello, I am new to the forum, but it looks like a good place to get help. I am sort of an intermeadiate computer user. I work with digital pictures and restoring old photos. I have had so many problems with my computer. It crashed last September and the hard drive was replaced by Gateway. It came with Windows XP home already installed. I've had problems with missing dll's, hundreds of error messages, programs just mysteriously shutting down, or freezing. Ghosts of windows are sometimes left when I close. I have two 250 GB hard drives. I store most of my photos on the second one, and keep my software on the first one. First I had run Hijackfree and it found all kinds of little red devils in the threads . Then I found Major Geeks forum. I have followed the steps of the malware removal guide. Bit Defender said if found a trojan Delf.EZ in 2 files, but it could not get rid of it. Hijackthis may have found something too. I have Norton 2006 running , but it hasn't found anything. I am a newbie when it comes to malware removal. But I can usually follow directions. I will attach the reports. Please help! I will attach the other reports in a second thread.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Please remember to post messages for a particular problem in one thread. You should not start a new thread each time you post another message.

Your logs do not show any signs of malware other than what was reported by BitDefender. You can get that removed by toggling System Restore as mentioned in step 8 of the READ ME.

The problems you mentioned do not sound like malware. Sounds more like a problem with your Windows installation. If you are still having problems, you should provide more specific/exact details and post in the Software Forum. If you are getting error messages, give the exact word for word error message and what you are doing when it occurs. If files are missing, how do you know that and state what files are missing.....etc
