Trojan Dloader and Adservice....Major Problem

Jesus do I need help....

I have installed and ran the programs mentioned in your tutorials... minus the defender because it would not laod in safe mode and spybot because I cannot connect to the internet for updates in safe mode....even with networking. Therefore I cannot dload the latest updates for the programs anyway. I have done all I can as far as searching and running those programs but the damn viruses keep popping up anyway. I have tried to run in normal mode.... but that only lasts for so long and I am timid to plug my lan in for the internet.

There are 2 things that are found...

1. Adservice with registry
2. Trojan.downloader.small.cml with registry hits as well.

I have no idea what to do about this and any help would be geratly appreciated.... I don't want to lose all my damn MUSIC!

I did find one thing out. When I start in normal mode with the internet cable plugged in... It gives me the "blue screen of death" right after the windows xp loading screen. When I take the cable out, It doesn't do this and continues to the login screen. Not sure what this means, but I NEED THE HELP OF MAJOR GEEKS!

Hello Again....

I still have no luck with this damn trojan virus...I've been trying things all day and it keeps popping up. Spybot finds it and fixes it, then it comes back 5 mins later. I have no idea what to do about this. Can I run HJT in safe mode and see what it comes up with? whould i run edwido or whatever it's called and see if that helps? Again I cannot access the net with that other computer because safe mode won't let me and normal mode is probably going to d-load some more virues. If there is a log file that is needed i can paste what i have done so far..... please help.

Please attach and not paste the log you have, and the guys who deal with malware will review it as soon as possible, you'll appreciate that this is a busy forum and they do get to each new post in turn, a tip they work from the bottom up so bumping your thread up will increase the time taken to review your logs.

Thanks Halo, just wanted to know that there was someone out there! I was thinking i'll just take all of the music and pictures off my comp and put them on a portable usb hard drive. If the picture in my documents are on C: can that trojan be carried over or no? I just want to get all the important stuff off of there. I can reinstall windows and sp2 and what not. That would prolly tak less time!

If you have run everything in the READ & RUN ME, you need to attach the logs that are requested. I see that your problem may prevent you from running step 6 (the online scanners). That's okay for now. Also you said you could not run Windows Defender. That means you should have installed CounterSpy and ran it and let it fix what it finds. You then need to attach the CounterSpy log to your next message along with the HijackThis log (make sure you install per step 7 instructions).

Did you look for ALL the items list in the Uninstall Malware via Add/Remove Programs link in step 0 and uninstall any if found???
