Trojan Horse Dialer 17.E

I read the previous forum on this, and i have gone a little way but im not sure how much further to go. Heres whats happenin.

I downloaded a file, my AVG picked up this trojan horse dialer, so i healed it. It went into the virus vault, then i deleted it from there. I uninstalled the Newdotnet program, but then a little triangle poped up over my internet connection and said i have limited or no connectivity. I can't go on the internet on that computer now.

Im very very new to computers lol, i understand little about the internet. I am on a wireless connection.

So after that i did a complete scan with AVG and came up with the backup file or whatever for the virus, its sitting in my virus vault still. I tried doing the restore point, and nothin new has happened. So i deleted all my restore point files and rebooted a few times, heh, nothin has changed.

So i came here and read the forum on it, i got HijackThis onto my computer, i ran it, i have the log file for that. I then downloaded LSP-Fix and ran that and removed Newdotnet3_88.dll.

I ran hijackthis again, have the log file for that as well. Now im hesitant to go any further because i don't know what to remove. So should i post my 2 log files here and can someone help me? Hehe im extremely desperate.

ok, correction

I do not have the log file from the first scan, i only have the log file after i used LSP-Fix.

• Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:

• CounterSpy - ONLY IF you were not able to run Windows Defender
• Bitdefender - from step 6
• Panda Scan - from step 6
• runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
• newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
• HijackThis

 

Actually i got a little brave on this one and deleted

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [New.net Startup] rundll32 C:\PROGRA~1\NEWDOT~1\NEWDOT~1.DLL,NewDotNetStartup

I then ran your guys's program ispfix which corrected my internet problem, then ran CCleaner just to be safe. Hehe read through all your guy's information and it helped big time, you guys rock.

Please post a HijackThis log and logs from ShowNew and GetRunKey; and I check to make sure there isn't something that should be dealt with.
