    Hey,
AVG Free 8.0 recently discovered a Trojan horse dropper.bravix.a

When I try to heal, delete or fix it with AVG, it only says "access is denied", and nothing happens. This virus also leads to my computer shutting itself down (may be the virus itself, I generally have no clue about computers) after a few minutes for safety reasons.

I have Windows Vista. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hello Tasus,

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
    Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run theREAD & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can running steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.

Thanks a lot for reply and help.

I've followed the Read & Run Me First guide as closely as my knowledge allows. And it seems to have worked :)

AVG no longer reports of threats and my computer do not shut itself down. I've scanned my computer with SUPERAntiSpyware which found some problems, but didn't seem to be able to fix it, as AVG continued to bother me with "immediate threats". Spybot found absolutely nothing, but Malewarebytes Anti-Maleware located some problems and fixed them, it seems. Posting the log from Malewarebytes Anti-Maleware here. If you could take a look at it and see if the problem has been eradicated I would appreciate it a lot.

Thanks for all help and support :)
    - Jakob

    Hello Tasus,

Would you please also post the log from SuperAntiSpyware, there also should be a combofix log you need to produce, and the logs produced from MGTools.

I never used the MGTools, dunno if you need that as well, but here are the logs from SAS and ComboFix.
