Trojan Horse Generic 9 AKEK0B0

Hello All,
AVG has detected a Threat: Trojan Horse Generic 9-AEKB080, In which it cannot remove, It appears to be affecting c:\windows\systems32\cmd.dll I've heard that I should go into My Computer, Click on Windows, then the System32 folder, delete it, then empty my recyle bin to remove it, will this actually work, or is there something else that I should be doing?
