Anti virus detected trojan horse (spenser.exe) on my computer as soon as I plugged my camera in via USB. I have never had this problem prior to this and I have been using the camera for a few years now but I had loaned the camera to someone before I used it this time.

I have a couple of questions.
How did my camera pick up this trojan?

Does the trojan corrupt any of my photos on the camera or be able to download them?

Will the trojan return to my camera? I have connected it again and it seems to be gone as the anti virus software did not alert me of it again.

Is deletion from quarantine in the anti virus software enough to clear my computer of this trojan?

If it is in quarantine, then you are safe. You can remove it if you wish. I suggest that you download and install this:
    AutoEater.

Your friends computer had the infection....and it was passed thru your camera.

If you are concerned about any other lingering traces of the infection, then do this:
