I am really confused, I googled and saw a post here back in 2005 in which a Member "bjarrick" was offering some information to a member in this Forum.

I have had Trojan Hunter on my notebook for sometime and realized that I have the old version 4.5 and was trying to remove it and install the newer one the 4.7

I was successful in removing everything except the folder that contains the licence and the "contmenu.dll".
I should say that I have the licence saved to a floppy so that is not an issue. I have posted in the Mischel Forum for this program, however no reply yet and so I started googling.

Recently I had the "Trojan Zlob" on my notebook and NAV 2006 got rid of it, for some reason it appeared after I did a d/l of an activex that I needed for a Link to a Utube that I received from a friend.
Trojan Hunter did not detect it at all???

So now I am really wondering if this program is as effective as it is supposed to be.

I don't understand this "contmenu.dll" and whether I should reinstall the Trojan Hunter program or not.

I should guess if I am going to d/l the update that all remnants have to be gone, correct?

My Security is NAV 2006 (expiring soon), spyware blaster, adaware personal, spybot free, and prior to my removing most of Trojan Hunter; it was there as well but never really found anything over the years; least of all Trojan Zlob.

I really would appreciate comments as to this "contmenu.dll" and the Trojan Hunter program in general.
    Thankyou for your time.

This is not a malware forum issue since it is not malware.

You can try using a program like Pocket KillBox or FileASSASSINto remove that file on reboot.

Some people like Trojan Hunter and some do not. I personally see no need for it. But I also would not use Norton.
