Trojan kills printer

A couple of days ago my Canon MX340 wouldnt print anymore.
The alarm came on and the display said CHECK INK U059.

So I got the black ink refilled and still nothing.

I went on line found a site Canon Printer Support and called the 1-888 number but which was actually something called PC Tritium LLC.
The guy in India using remote checked the Registry and claimed that
a Trojan had infected hundreds of my files and that's wgy the Printer won't work but for 119$ he will fix it.

This is what he wrote on Notepad.

trojan

registry - 1500+

spooler service is off

don't plan to buy printer and printer

warrnaty

one - 119.99 - 7 days


Well be now when I finally realized that this guy does not work for
Canon so I said no thanks and hung up.

Now I'm really starting to worry if I should have let the guy access to all my
files.


Any suggestions?

Problem solved after I replaced both black and colour cartridges.

But now I'm still wondering if I have Malware.


Here is a screen shot of my Task Manager and I see files here which according to some sites are malware.
