trojan problem..please help

    everytime i restart my computer, my mcaffee security center pops up and tells me that i have a "ghost.apd"? file that has infected the file "hosts" (may not be the exact wording but very similar) and it has been cleaned. i have run my mcaffee many times and it continues to tell me that i have no infected files.

    I HAVE ALREADY READ THE WARNING ON THIS SITE TO PERFORM THE STEPS AND DIFFERENT SCANS BEFORE POSTING ABOUT A TOPIC LIKE THIS AND NOTHING HAS CHANGED.


    does anyone have any idea what im referring to and how i can stop this from continually coming up everytime i start my computer? any help would be greatly appreciated.
