I had a trojan that was found my mcafee but it could not delete it.

Is there any programs that i could scan my pc and possibly get rid of this nasty.

    Thanks

If you had a trojan you probably have other infections, please follow our standard cleaning procedures:

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gifAfter doing ALL of the above and you still have a problem, make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below thread to properly use HijackThis and attach the log:

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis
    • Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around..
http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gifWhen you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
    • CounterSpy
    • AVG Antispyware log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy
    • Bitdefender - from step 6
    • Panda Scan - from step 6
    • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
    • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
    • HijackThis
NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!

    Here are logs as requested

2 on here are Counterspy, BitDefender. PandaActive Scan came back clean with no infections...I closed the pop up as requested and a pop up was blocked so I could not get the scan results.

Other 3 are on the next post which are GetRun, ShowNew & HijackThis Log

    Thanks.

I need a current HJT log from normal mode but before you attach it I need you to run CounterSpy once more and this time remove all found infections.

Now scan with HijackThis and check the boxes for the following entries:
( Make sure ALL browser windows are closed when you click FIX )

    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant =

    R3 - URLSearchHook: Yahoo! Toolbar - {EF99BD32-C1FB-11D2-892F-0090271D4F88} - (no file)

    O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {0BF43445-2F28-4351-9252-17FE6E806AA0} - (no file)

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [iTunesHelper] "C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe"
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Yahoo! Pager] "C:\PROGRA~1\Yahoo!\MESSEN~1\YAHOOM~1.EXE" -quiet
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [InternodeUsage] C:\PROGRA~1\INTERN~2\mum.exe

Again, make sure ALL browser windows are closed when you click FIX.

Next, run CCleaner to clean up cookies and temp files.

Finally, I would like you to flush your System Restore points. Please follow the instructions in the below:

    • Disable and Re-enable System Restore

    • Turn OFF System Restore to flush any bad Restore Points.

    • Then, follow the instructions at the bottom of the linked page to Re-enable the Restore Utility which will create a fresh restore point.
After you complete the above reboot once more and then scan with HijackThis and attach the new log.

Let me know of any problems you may have encountered with the above instructions and also let me know how things are running now.

Ok done all that you said.

    Here is new HJT log.

All things seem to be running smoothly. Was just worried that the trojan was still on my system somehow. Some webpages take a while to load and they never had before even the major geeks takes longer than usual to load. I have not changed my speed for the net or anything like that so i was worried that that there was something on my system that should'nt be.

If things are looking clean now...Im happy with that.

Thanks so much for your help i appreciate it.

Your log looks good, to be honest, all of the McAfee products is most likely the reason for the slowness.

If you're not having any further problems, you should see this article on How to Protect yourself from malware!
