Trojan script 614643.

2 identical PCs.....one is infected.
Windows 8.1....IE11...F-Secure Internet Suite....used for years and never a problem.
Both PCs operate perfectly normally....all internal and internet...except the infected one will not update F-Secure.
On this machine all attempts to connect to F-Secure (updates/google F-Secure/links in emails) show 'this page is not available'
It will connect to everything else.
Sent an FSDIAG to F-Secure....suggested I download a recovery CD and run that. (Downloaded on the 'good' PC).
Out of my depth at this point although I do know how to change the boot menu......except the 'bad' PC will not go to the BIOS screen so I can do that.
Also I am wary of the warnings that I may end up reinstalling Windows...will have to return to my PC builder for that!!
The 'good' PC will go to the BIOS screen....I did this to check I was doing it correctly!

As a possible answer I ran an ESET online scan it found 2 identical bits of adware relating to 'SpeedupyourPC'.....never seen that before but obviously not related to my problem.

When ever a link to F-Secure is clicked the virus warning appears and F-Secure quarantines it.

Is there an easy answer or do I return to my PC builder?

Instructions for Step 3...hidden files doesn't mention Windows 8.1.
Do I proceed with W7 instruction?
