Trojan, spyware issue

Got a trojan because of Zango. I removed it but it did a lot of damage before it was gone.

With AVG, killed a Trojan. Thru a suggestion of a friend, I used spybot to kill a lot of the spywares. Still adwares keep coming up.

I saw this site and performed the rest of the steps in the XP cleaning. For this, I wasn't able to do everything in order. I'm not sure if my pc is now ok because I can still detect a trojan in random scans (now i changed to Mcafee antivirus). I have repeated the cleaning process a few times

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

First you must disable Spybot's Teatimer as we requested in the READ & RUN ME. See this: How to disable Spybot's TeaTimer

    Uninstall the below software:
Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_05

Now we need to use ComboFix to remove a bunch of malware files.
    • Make sure that combofix.exe that you downloaded while doing the READ & RUN ME is on your Desktop but Do not run it!
      • If it is not on your Desktop, the below will not work.
    • Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the below quote box into it:
    • Save the above as CFscript.txt and make sure you save it to the same location (should be on your Desktop) as ComboFix.exe
    • At this point, you MUST EXIT ALL BROWSERS NOW before continuing!
    • You should have both the ComboFix.exe and CFScript.txt icons on your Desktop.
    • Now use your mouse to drag CFscript.txt on top of ComboFix.exe
    • Follow the prompts.
    • When it finishes, a log will be produced named c:\combofix.txt
    • I will ask for this log below
    Note:

Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

    Now run Ccleaner!

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    • C:\ComboFix.txt
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

Thank you so much for your reply.

I was able to disable tea timer and uninstall java runtime.

However, when I dragged the txt file to combofix and followed the prompt, combofix was stuck at scanning. I knew it because it went on for more than 30 minutes.

My combofix was in local disk C. But with your instruction, I removed it from C and redownloaded it to my desktop.

Before reading your instructions also, I was also able to repeat the XP cleaning process once more and got a few malwares.

    Did I do anything wrong?

    Thanks again for your reply,

O I forgot to add: McAfee blocked it on my first try so I had to "trust" it first. The second run was when it got stuck.

McAfee is still getting in the way of ComboFix running. Too bad it did not do as good a job in blocking the malware from installing to begin with. ;) Let's do this another way.

Now download The Avenger by Swandog46, and save it to your Desktop.
    • Extract avenger.exe from the Zip file and save it to your desktop
    • Run avenger.exe by double-clicking on it.
    • Do not change any check box options!!
    • Copy everything in the Quote box below, and paste it into the Input script here: part of the window:
    • Now click the Execute button.
    • Click Yes to the prompt to confirm you want to execute.
    • Click Yes to the Reboot now? question that will appear when Avenger finishes running.
    • Your PC should reboot, if not, reboot it yourself.
    • A log file from Avenger will be produced at C:\avenger.txt and it will popup for you to view when you login after reboot.

After reboot copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixme.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

    Now run Ccleaner!

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    • C:\avenger.txt
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

    Thanks so much.

Avenger was able to delete the first file but not the next two.

Proceeded with the next step and got a success message.

Ccleaner was able to delete some files.

    I attached the logs here.

    Thanks.

Because of a friend's suggestion, I installed nod32. I was ablt to kill a trojan or two. however, i still keep getting spyware. some of the trojans are hiding in my system restore which i turned off. still i keep getting spyware everytime i scan using superantispyware and spybot.

is there a way to delete those two files that couldn't be deleted by avenger?

Because I have uninstalled Mcafee, I was able to perform the rest of the combofix steps as previously suggested.

I have attached new logs here.

    Thanks

Unless you provide logs, I have no way of knowing what you are referring to.

The C:\A9installertest_77100106.exe file you can just delete manually. There was a cut and paste type in my instructions. The other file ( 1weicxa.com )was on drive D which may not be accessible at this time. Is drive D a USB drive? If so you need to cleanup you USB drive. Look for that file on all removable drives and delete it if found.

Your logs are otherwise clean. How are things working?

    Thanks!

I was able to delete A9instaler test. I find the file on drive D strange though. Because D is actually just a CD image that I loaded through Daemon tools. I tried browsing for it in Windows Explorer but I couldn't find it.

I still keep detecting adwares through SuperAntiSpyware and Spybot. My system restore is still off.

I repeat, if you do not attach logs that show what you are referring to then I cannot help you. If you are referring to cookies then they are not problems.
