Trojan.Win32 causing 'Vimax Ads' & Blue Screen Crashes

I'm doing the 'Read and Run Me First' Malware removal guide, however I just to explain what problems I'm having in case some of them arn't malware related.

First, I downloaded an .exe file and ignored the firefox's warning and ended up downloaded (according to VirusTotal.com) 28 virus' from the .exe file.

Since then my Sympatico Security Manager has been found multiple Trojan.Win32's and needs to restart every time to remove. However, when I restart windows and log in, once every application loads my computer crashes and sends up a blue screen. So I must use Safe Mode otherwise I will crash every time.

Now I'm seeing more and more signs of infection, like these Vimax ads that replace website ads with it's own (even majorgeeks.com's ads are replaced with these).


Any other opinions of scans or other guides that I could follow I would greatly appreciate.

Thanks chaslang, but I decided it was time to completely reinstall the Operating system. I tried to do most of the beginning things listed on the READ & RUN ME FIRST, however being in safe mode didn't allow me to do anything, something to do with the 'Administrator has set preferences that prevent you from installing this'. That and also my computer would freeze 3 times out of 5 when trying to log in in safe mode.

But now I'm learning more about my computer then I've ever known. So thanks again and you most likely will be seeing me again as I have the worst luck with technology.
