Hi, I'm megamanxxxhp and I'm new to Major Geeks. I signed up so I could ask for assistance concerning my problem. A couple of days ago I accidentaly downloaded a program and it turned out to be 2 trojan downloaders. Windows live one care got rid of the 2 but one of them downloaded Trojan:Win32/Vundo.gen

I have AVG free antivirus, spyware doctor, windows live onecare and spyhunter. Onecare told me that it found it and it took like 1 hour to get the result: Task resolved. Then I scanned with spyware doctor + antivirus and deleted many cookies and high risk items. Today, onecare detected Trojan:Win32/Vundo.gen. I can't trust these antiviruses! I don't know if I still have the trojan, so please HELP!!!

    (AVG isn't doing anything...)

    Hi megamanxxhp!
    Welcome to Major Geeks!

The best way we can help you is if you run through the procedures in the READ & RUN ME FIRST. This will produce 4 logs that will help us see if there are infected files on your computer and set up a way to get rid of them.

It's a detailed procedure, but doesn't take that long, and if you're worried, this will help to see if there's still a problem.

    Hi megamanxxxhp,

When you start the READ & RUN ME there are a set of instructions which apply to all operaing systems. When you reach the bottom of the page, there are links to a continuation of these instructions which then become specific to the particular operating system you have. After you complete the instructions which apply to all operating systems, then click on the link to those which are specific to your operating system, which means, if your computer has Vista then using the Vista Cleaning Procedure.
