Trojan?

I am new here and have a problem...

My computer keeps shutting down and restarting. My sister says I have a trojan and told me to download trojan remover and run it. I did this and I am still having the same problem.

Can someone please help me out and tell me what I need to do to figure out what I have and how to get rid of it?

Welcome to Major Geeks!

Please run Removing Zlob aka SmitFraud, SpySheriff, Infections. This will create two logs, both with the name rapport.txt. Please attach the first log before running the cleaning part of the process, as the second stage will overwrite the first log. Then post the second rapport.txt.

When you finish with this, please go through the instructions in the READ & RUN ME FIRST and attach the requested logs.

Hi Abri,

I downloaded and extracted smitfraud to my desktop. I double clicked it and it had a bunch of folders in it.

The problem is is I dont have the thumbnail on my monitor to click and enlarge to be able to select 1 and hit enter - nothing is there!

Did I do something wrong already?

The instructions for SmitFraudFix were slightly wrong. I hope this was the problem. The correct procedure is to download the zip file to the desktop. Then double click on it to open it. Highlight the one folder inside called SmitFraudFix and then click on extract all. Extract them all to the desktop. Then open the extracted folder on the desktop called SmitFraudFix and find the file inside called SmitFraudFix.cmd. Double click on that to run it. When it runs, it should open up a dos-like screen. See if this works.
