trojan

i have come across a problem on aol instant messanger that i need help with. it appeared as tho i had been sent a link fo some sort of clan war thing by a friend of mine. in the beginiing the message was, "i did so well", and then the link came up. once i clicked on it there was a file named picture downloded onto my desktop, once i clicked on that it started to send this same link continuously to everyone on my buddy list. i asked a friend what the problem was and he said it was a trojan and i should come to this site and post, so someone could help me, he said here is where i would find the best solution. does anyone know what my problem is, and do they have a solution for me? i would greatly apreciate it.
