trojan?

Hi. I'm using AVG antivirus at the moment, as well as spybot, spyware doctor, ad aware and hijack this. (not all at once).

I think there's a trojan in my pc, but only spyware doctor out of the above finds it (i'm not too sure how to use hijack this). When I select to fix checked, it goes away, and then comes back a few hours later. My avg e-mail scanner keeps popping up tooo, even though I'm not using it.

Spyw. doc calles it trojan.startpage.gen, but is powerless to fix it. any clues?

Please do not post any HijackThis logs without having followed standard cleaning procedures. You log shows no signs of malware problems but that does not mean you do not have any. It just means HJT does not show any. This is why we ask that cleaning procedures be followed. HJT shows very little of what could be on your PC. The other tools will show much more.

If you think you have malware problems then follow the instructions below.

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

- Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
