Huh? How far did you get? The fix should have worked unless the copy from C: failed. All we needed to do was check for the file in the Recovery Console and restore it manually if missing.

Likely was not necessary because you could have just undone what we done in the RC.

I cannot help you with any of this. You could try posting in our Software Forum to see if anyone has suggestions.

Just needed to check if the file was really missing at the C:\Windows prompt and then if it was a simple copy command would have replaced it.

:-D UNIX OS's are not going to offer you the ability to do what you can do with Windows and are more difficult to figure out how to do even the simpliest things (like setup a network connection). But hey, each to their own. I have used all kinds of UNIX imitator's and even original UNIX. Windows is still far better.
