My computer was running very slow and the usage was peaking at 100% often. I had previously performed the procedures recommended from the site on my laptop and the results were great. I ran the ComboFix (downloaded from the link this site provided) and after it went through its process, it rebooted on its own. I walked away from the computer and for a second and came back to noticed the desktop has not appeared yet. In fact the computer would keep restarting after the windows symbol. I did F8 and tried last known good configuration and also safe mode resulting in the same thing. I then told the computer not to restart after system failure and I now get a blue screen :

C:WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\SFCFILES.DLL is not as valid windows image please check this against your installation disc

I do not have any of the disk for this computer to restore this computer, before this occurence the combofix did download the system restore feature, but it is nowhere to be found. This is most troublesome for me, I would appreciate any help that you can offer.

Is this the same computer you just finished working on in the below thread?

Why were you running ComboFix? It is not a cureall and should not be the first program run especially for slow computer issues which are frequently not related to malware.

ComboFix does not download a system restore feature. Are you referring to installing the Recovery Console? If yes, and if you installed this when you first setup ComboFix then you should see an option to boot to the Recovery Console when you boot your PC. It only appears briefly and you have to press a key to select it. Do you see this?

You may still need a CD for your Windows OS since backup files for any that could be missing of corrupted may not be available on your hard disk.

As i indicated in my post this is a different computer and I am aware that combofix is not a cureall procedure. The reason why I ran it is because I had done all the maintenance work recommended for the computer that was recommended for slow running computers and still had a slow running computer with an occasional pop up of IE when I wasn't even using it. So I performed the recommended procedures and saving logs to post:

Yes I was talking about Recovery Console, but it is not there. As for a cd for the Windows OS system, does it need to be the same cd came with my computer or will anyone do?

Did SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes run okay before getting to ComboFix?

If you don't see it briefly listed during startup that means it was not installed.

You can run the Recovery Console using any version of Windows; HOWEVER, you need to same version of Windows to restore files from the CD as some files are different. You could be lucky and may find backups of missing files on your hard disk though which would be okay to copy.
