so ive installed the software for my stereo to be hooked up to the computer so that i can play my music through it

the only problem is that everytime i reboot my comp (or just turn it on for the first time), the malicious software removal tool falsely identifies it as an extraordinarily low level trojan horse (id assume because it can record keystrokes for hotkeys?)

how do i keep this from happening so i dont have to reinstall the software every single time

Please can you provide more details.

Are you refering to the Microsoft Malicious SOftware Removal tool ? This only looks for and removes specific, prevalent malicious software—including Blaster, Sasser, and Mydoom, it doesn't include any heuristic scanning. Since it only targets KNOWN malware what it would be detecting should probably be removed. I will verify this when you provide more details including: the name of the Trajan it detects it as, the full path and name of the file it detects and verification that it IS the MS tool you are refering to.
