    Hi im new to this.
I am having trouble getting my new dvd writer to play using any software. It keeps saying things like there is a prob with my tv out, it cant turn on the analog copy protection, the windows media centre said it was a prob with my graphics card. Any ideas on the prob? I believe it could be becouse a family member recently updated my operating system to windows 7 for me and i believe its running at 64 bit n my graphics card is 32 bit. Any advice would be gratefully recieved

Windows7 has problems with DVD playback (and video in general) with older video cards. The first thing to do remove all DVD playback software and codec packs. 2nd- download and install the most current driver appropriate for your version of Windows. If you're unsure where to find this driver, post the make/model of your video card along with the exact version of Windows you're using, and we'll try to post a link to the video driver. 3rd- download and install the KLite Full Codec Pack. Then use Media Player Classic to playback a DVD movie. Media Player Classic is installed with the codec pack. If none of this works, then it may be time to upgrade your video card.
