Since it seemed an Ideal solution for Disk Imaging & back-up, I got myself a copy of Acronis True Image 8.0.
Still looks like the one for me, BUT I hit a problem as soon as I decided to Trial it on my less critical system, I needed to Burn a Bootable Rescue CD ( no floppy disc) and CD-RW is on a Win XP Pro SP2 system. The burn failed ( 'Error whilst Wriiting' I think was message, not very helpful) after several minutes of zero activity on CD-RW drive, events in system event log from PnP manager complaining that device had been removed without preparing for removal !?. I thought the drive was duff , but did a quick drag-drop of a folder to the drive and got Windows to 'Write files to CD' worked OK.
No other Burning s/w on that system ( other than Roxio plug-in in WMP ), so disabled Recording on Drive ( in case this was getting in the way ), but still no joy.
Anyone got experience of running this on XP Pro SP2 .

    System is Tyan Tiger MPX ( 2 x Athon MP2200+), 512Mb , Adaptec ATA 1200a Raid ( IBM/Hit 60Gb drives ), MSI CD-RW , Windows XP Pro SP2 , HP Scanner & S/W, processing power used for Predictor@Home and messing with Media Encoder .

I am in contact with Acronis Support, but I just wondered if anyone else has done CD Burning on XP Pro.
