Trying to find out what Webcam I have

so i'll post her eand hope you move it to the right thread area

i jsut upgraded my mother board and hard drive

well one question is how can i find out what kind of webcam i have

the other thing is it works but it doesn't work i plugged in and it let me do webcam lastnight on msn but now i try today it doesn't show up

i can't remember where i put the cam install cd or the manual for it

i'm attaching the info that advanced system care shows for what is on or in my desktop

Hi

Is the webcam built into the PC or is it a standalone one? if built in then whats the make and model of your PC, say Dell, HP etc (I do note the ASRock motherboard so likely a custom build PC, but never know OEMs use all sorts of mobos)

If its a standalone one are their any identifying codes on the webcam, model number etc?

In Device Manager are their any yellow ! marks, if so by what and also does it list a webcam anywhere, possibly listed as Imaging Devices, if so does it list a name, or if you double click it to open and choose the Driver tab or Details tab, does it list a Driver Provider?

Could run the below and attach the log as it may give more info

To find this info you can use the likes of Everest to find this info, at times a summary log of your PC can help, to do this

Install Everest and run
Click Report (top menu) > Report Wizard > Next
Choose System Summary Only > Next
Choose Plain Text > Finish and wait for report to generate
Click Save to File and leave the File Name as Report, then click the Save as Type dropdown and choose Report files (*txt) and click Save (n.b. Save to desktop is best as easy place to find it, use Browse to locate desktop)

Then attach your log to your next post as per these instructions HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post

thanks for the help hope it works after everything

coustom built pc i got in like 2002 added new hard drive and mother board in 06 they died so i upgraded with what i have now

on the cam it's self there is nothing but on the part closet to the usb plug it says

Lexma
Panda 10C
rated+5v , 0.05a max
made in china
S/N: 240W088C000352

in Device manager it shows up as Imaging Devices and there is no ! mark
