    Those processes look fairly normal.
I seem to remember that in Win 7 for start ups, you have to look in Windows Defender > Software Explorer > click in box 'show for all users'

That screen shot is of running processes, not startup items.

This Portable task manager has a built-in screenshot capability - DBC Task Manager

    DBC-Taskman-screenshot.jpg
You may have to click more details at the bottom left to get the full display.

You can use the Windows File Explorer and look at this location for ALL Users Startups:
    Code:
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

or this location for the Current User ONLY startups:
    Code:
    C:\Users\{Don User-Name}\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

You can also just run msconfig.exe, select the Startup tab and take a screenshot of that.

It's a D**N shame he's having so many problems. But, it's looking like he'll have to download the ISO, burn it to DVD and Repair Windows 7.

Thanks, Doc, but that is not a startup list. It is an installed software list. ;)

The default name for the CCleaner Startup text file dump is startup.txt
The default name for the CCleaner Uninstall text file dump is install.txt

The attached file in msg #35 is install.txt

Can you imagine someone having all of that run at startup?

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one that does that!

    Friends,

You can't imagine how difficult it is for me with my compromised dexterity to accomplish many of these tasks that are "child's play" for you. I'd be happy to pay someone to "remote" my system are get these problems corrected.

Really sorry you're having so much trouble!
    For the sake of clarity:
    1. Is it correct to say that you have full use of your right hand with typical dexterity but none with your left?
    2. Are you fully able to manipulate a right handed mouse and left click?
    3. Is mouse right click difficult?
    4. Are you able to do two key combinations with your right hand as long as the keys are within reach?

You can just answer 'yes' or 'no' by number.
I hope this info will be helpful.

    1. About 40% use of R
    2. Yes.
    3 , Very difficult, yes.
    4. No. I use an onscreen keyboard that I control with a mouse. Multi-key combination are extremely difficult though possible with "sticky keys" activated, although I've never used that feature of Windows before.

There are likely more disabled-friendly pointing devices available and the Veteran's Administration will buy it for me without hesitation if I will simply provide a vendor and part number. Any suggestions?

    You folks are wonderful!

Maybe another entirely new computer would be the cowardly solution to my other problems listed in this thread. I'm frustrated enough to admit defeat and throw in the proverbial towel! I'd still have the pointing device limitations , however.

    Thanks again folks.

I wish we at the forums could do remote assistance and I'm sure most of us would do it for free. But we just can't.

I live in Buffalo, NY and I was able to do remote assistance for a friend in West Endover, Nevada via MSN Messenger under Windows XP. I don't even know if MSN Messenger is available any more.

As a last ditch effort, I'll try downloading an ISO Image of Windows 7/64 Home Premium but I think I'll still require a PRODUCT KEY, correct ? Windows was pre-installed on my computer so I have no discs or PRODUCT KEY! The problems are Madusa-like with a life of their own. Cut one head off and two grow back.

Anyone know how to reinstall using an ISO Image?

    Mdonah,

Free Teamviewer will allow you to access my computer. It's only necessary to contact me through the software and I'll grant you permission. I already have teamviewer installed so go here to install on your computer so our machines can "talk" to each other.

    I will be eternally grateful.

Since we don't know what would be comfortable for you and easier to manipulate,
we probably can't say what would be the best device, unless someone here has similar abilities.
Finding a vendor would likely be easy, since Amazon, Newegg or some others would probably have the part.

One site I found with information about Adaptive Computer Devices, linked to this Logitech trackball mouse:
    http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/wireless-trackball-m570-business?crid=7

much cheaper at Amazon.com where it is a best seller:
    https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias=computers&field-keywords=logitech+M570

Joysticks have also been mentioned at a few sites but no specifics were given.

It could be helpful to talk with someone who is knowledgeable about these type of devices and assisting people with specific disabilities.

Here is a resource I found where you can get Free advice.
Take a look at the section State Assistive Technology Act Programs

Under Windows 7, you'd need something like:

    Virtual Clone Drive

Read the instructions on the page I linked you to.

As far as your Product Key, since your computer came with Windows 7 pre-installed, unless the sticker has fallen off or has faded to the point it's no longer readable, it's there. It may be on the back, side or bottom of the computer case or even inside the case cover. Of course, I know you can't maneuver the case or open it to find the sticker.

There's a utility called ShowKeyPlus that will read the OEM Key for you. I've attached it for you. It's a no installation required file.

Once, Virtual Clone Drive is installed per the instructions, you should be able to launch Setup from the Windows 7 ISO. Choose to Repair Windows. You shouldn't need to do a complete re-install. You'd lose all your Programs, Settings and files if you did that.

When you get to the Virtual Clone Drive home page, click on the Download button. On the next page, scroll down to Freeware. The Virtual Clone Drive download button is there.

Sorry Don, I can't use Team viewer. I can't see well enough to read the info on the screens. I've got bilateral cataracts and need everything to show in high contrast with white text on a black background. Black text on a white background just washes out and is illegible to me.

Here is how I communicate verbally. The Maestro, my current Speech Synthesis Device, is mounted directly on my power wheelchair. The T-15 has just been ordered as a brand new upgrade. It should arrive in 2-3 weeks. Both SSDs can be controlled by eye movements in the late stages of my worsening dexterity problems.

Both devices are full-blown Windows computers with WIFI, digital camera (2 on T15) and telephone capabilities.
