Trying to separate out my IPs . PLEASE HELP

Hello,
my name is brian and I have an issue with my network. Out of my home, I run a program using the internet on 30 computers. I have 2 cable modems, each with 4 IP addresses given to me. I run each modem to a switch and then to 4 routers and then to my computers. This separates out my IP addresses so that each router uses one IP (3 or 4 computers per IP). The reason I am trying to separate the computers onto different IP addresses is because I notice slowdown when going from the modem to one router and then to all the computers.

The problem I am having is that I can't get a few of the routers to sync up and take an IP and connect to the Internet successfully. One of my modems is fine. All 4 routers are on the Internet under a different IP address. My other modem however, I can only get one router to work. The routers are all fine and it seems the first router I plug in connects to the Internet fine but then the other 3 will not. Does anyone either have any suggestions on why my routers might not be picking up an IP address/internet. Any help would be great

i have the windows 2000 professional and i can't fix my internet explorer to stay on yahoo - it keeps going to about:blank - no matter what i do it keeps going back - i have the spy sweeper program and norton - every time i delete the spyware the minute i go online i get a bunch of spyware - what can i do?
