Trying to use a P2P program....

Ok, I have used a P2P program in the past, Frostwire, and had no problems. I am running Vista, and in the past, everything was good. Now all of a sudden when I try to use it, my internet connection drops, then returns constantly, only stabilizing after an untold amount of time..(usually by the time I go to sleep and then wake up, I think.) I'm just curious as to why this is happening, and how to keep it from happening.

 

Well, I tend to use it in the early morning... 1 am to whatever, and it starts IMMEDIATELY. it just starts to make my connection blink on and off, and even when i shut the program down, I have to reboot and reset the router and such, then let it sit there before the connection stabilizes again. This sometimes takes hours. It had not happened before, and only recently started doing this. But I mean whether I use it in early morning or any time during the day, it happens.

 

and by dropping, i mean a total disconnection, where i get kicked off my Instant messengers, and Xbox Live.
