Can anyone tell me if this is a good product or not? I know a lot of products out there can really harm your PC if you try to use them so I thought I would ask here first, cause this is the best place to go if you have any questions or problems with a PC. I put a link to there website below.

I LOVE MAJOR GEEKS!!!! They are the BEST!!!!!!!

    No.
There are dozens of those programs.
You're better off asking on MajorGeeks how to safely clean and optimize your PC, using free software.

FYI The first thing that caught my eye was this - ...ACROSS ZA...
Where is ZA? I live in ZA - South Africa. Unless I'm missing something.

BTW What happens when you click on the Home tab?

When I click the home tab it tries to download the product.

I decided to fire up a virtual machine and have a look at this TurboYourPC junk.
It runs like CCleaner on valium but does less than CCleaner. There's also the catch that it will not clean anything unless you buy a licence.
As for the website you linked to, your geo location gets inserted into the spiel.
e.g. NEW CRAZE IS WIPING OUT SLOW COMPUTERS ACROSS [insert geo location here] AND NOW THE #1 REASON NOT TO BUY A NEW PC
For lols, open that link using an anonymous proxy. All the [insert geo location here] places are blank.

    Hi

Would not touch it at all, click any of the main headings and you are taken to download the product, that is sneaky! Will it speed up your PC, doubt it.. unless you pay as on the product screenshot is an "upgrade for a 20% discount" so likely a product that says it will clean and speed your PC up by XX% but you pay. Also when looking at its features, you'd be better off with the FREE CCleaner app as it does the same, but freely.

Best advice and not knowing the speed and spec of your PC would be to uninstall any software applications you do not use now, BUT make sure you have the licence keys for any that need them, run CCleaner and its cleaner option, check Startups and slim them down to crucially needed ones (security apps in the main) then defrag your HDD, there is no magic bullet to make a PC really speedy, apart from upgrading hardware and semi expensive way even on an oldish PC is a Solid State Drive.

I'm glad my security setup prevents me from even visiting that site :)

If I don't find the download here on Major Geeks I don't use it. Period! But then again I tend to lean to the safe side.

My browser doesn't let me go there.
That's my clue that I want no parts of that page!

What browser do you use Plodr?

Understandable, but cuts you off from some brilliant software, such as Everything Search Engine and EasyBCD. There are many others I'd love to see on MG but I guess they don't for commercial reasons.

I guess either Pale Moon or Firefox ESR ;)

It's more likely to be an Extension doing the blocking though, maybe MBAM Prem, if installed, or a good hosts file.

MBAM blocked the site for me. Thanks for the holiday MBAM contest at MalwareTips...

    That's ultra sneaky.

The consensus is... stay away from that product.

Kestrel, Palemoon is my day to day browser. I have FF ESR (Extended Support Release) as my backup browser.
As a last resort, I fire up IE 11. :p
