TV guide

Hi not sure if this is the right place or not but i have a question.

Is there some sort of program, app, or gadget that can give me a local TV guide and will let me schedule reminders that sound an alert and have some sort of bubble that will pop up and tell you your show is coming on?

Ya i know about that one but what i'm wanting is a way to set reminders and for those to go off just before m shows come on some way to notify me of them coming on.
something that works a lot like the old directv receivers it would pop up and say that Show X is coming on.

Find your market, which provider (I'm on antenna and it works for that too), click the show you want a reminder for, click reminder. All that being said I've never used the reminder before so don't know how effective it is.

If you're talking about on your TV itself, that will be dependent on your receiver. Some will be more feature rich than others.

but it is for my mom and she uses it but need something that alerts her to it titan is handy if you remember to go and look. it is for a computer see what im looking for is something i can open see a tv guide find a show say Bones at 9pm and hit remind me. when 9pm comes round it pops up on my computer and says Bones it coming on channel 28. maybe even play a sound that draws my attention to the computer.
