Tv out Has No Colour

Hi There,

I have a dell inspiron 6000 with mobile intel chipset 9145. I am trying to play TV out, but whenever i attach it to the TV - i am only getting black and white. I have tried changing the colour adminstration within properties to kodakdc and srgb colour space profile but i am still having the same problems.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

It could be a PAL/NTSC setting somewhere. Some laptops have a BIOS setting for TVout. If it's set for NTSC and the TV is set for PAL, or vice versa, you will get video issues. I had a an old DVD player that was 'stuck' on NTSC only. When I tried to play a PAL movie in it, it would play in black and white. Check the back of the TV or wherever all the control switches are (or just read the manual). Check the PC BIOS and the TVout settings if using separate video hardware/software....

I have tried changing the output between PAL and NTSC within the Intel Graphics media accelerator driver options, however this is still not working.

Also when I check the tv settings for colour within the same console bit, the options for changing colurs are all greyed out.And i am unable to adjust this in any way.

I recently completed a clean install on my pc, Ive made sure all my drivers are up to date, but this one bit is my onl,y problem.

If anyone does have any other ideas it would be most appreciated.

What kind of cable are you connecting with?

Is it component (red/blue/green), composite (yellow) or HDMI/DVI? Or a supplied cable for the laptop?
