tv out prob

hi guys need help please got a crappy aopen mx200 graphics card i use in a spare pc just for wathcing films cof it connected to the monitor and tv fine but the tv is in black and white please help really bugging me now, i used this driver

it is just a p3 800 and gig of sdram and a 40 gig hd with me os, and divx to play my films the only other thing it does

Are you using an S-Video connection?
If so...
You may need a cord replacement.

 

hey thanks for replying i got a brand new cable its s-vid one end then just the normall yellow vid cable the other end, only abou 4 inches long so i can just put into the video in on my tv does tha make sense??

 

What your saying is that it's a S-Video to composite converter?
It should work if it's a proper one..

But...
If the video card on the computer isn't PAL TV standard compliant.
One of the output glitches will be lack of color at output.
A black and white image.

 

Hey PCJinx thank you for your time, yes thats the converter cable it works fine in a different pc, and the g/card is pal, i had this problem couple of years ago with a pci graphics card and cant remember how to fix the problem, the thing is could it be my tv because i all so have a s-video to scart and that goes in black and white aswell????

 

I'll explain.
Some video cards you may get in the UK may have a NTSC TV out.
The video standard in North America and Japan.
But I would imagine this would be rare to get an NTSC video out card in the UK.
But it does happen

If you were to have a NTSC video card in your computer for some reason...
Among the other video anomalies the video would produce...
You would get a black and white TV screen.

But glad you got it all sorted out.
