TV Out problem

I have a radeon 9550/x1050 card ...
recently i have been having NO luck watching movies on my TV via the computer ..
Everything elts shows up on the TV screen except the movie ..( the software , Divx , win-amp etc etc skin shows but not the movie ..just a black screen ) it is playing fine on the computer tho ..
Ive tryed different refresh rates but without any luck ...in th ebegining it was just a few movies that would'nt work ..now its all of them !
any ideas why this is happening ?

I have updated everything ..installed codex etc etc ...seems to be a s-video problem and coding so you CANT view the movies...one other place said Power DVD will over-ride it ...but it doesn't

 

ohh thats an easy fix....you have to somehow make your tv your primary display and your cpu monitor your secondary. Video will only play on the primary/default display which is your monitor. Change it on your display properties under settings. You might have to click the advance setting and look around for that option. I had the same prob a long time ago, and just played around w/ it for a while until i got it.
