Tv wont stay turned on HELP!

Hi all hoping someone can give me some kind of help here that knows a bit more about tv's then i do.

Make: Hannspree
Model: HSG1102
Size: 42"

The tv will turn on, but as soon as the hannspree logo has displayed on the screen then it turns off again back to its red led light indicating its on standby which is what it should be dokng but does anyone know how i can get this tv to work again. Its roughly only 2 years old. I have opened the back already there are know visible faults on the board, no bad caps (domed or leaking or split) all seems well.

The only thing i can come up with is there a firmware issue with the software and maybe a firmware update would fix this issue however doesn't seem like a download off the internet is available to put on usb flash drive. So i can flash my firmware on the tv.

The tv has a usb service port if that helps anyone

I would go to Hannspree's web site, search the TV model # and see if a firmware update is available.

If not, it is likely not worth repairing unless you or a friend have the technical knowledge to troubleshoot the exact problem and which board needs to be replaced. There are a lot of listings for power supplies and boards on eBay for this model - the trick is finding out which one(s) you need. If you have to pay a TV shop to repair it, the bill could easily exceed the cost of a new 42" set (I've seen this size at Fry's for as low as $299).

Hi thank you on the quick reply i have been on the hannspree website (the only 1 i could find)and they don't even have the model of tv i have on there website :/. I don't have any feeling that its hardware related as i do rebuild computers and pc monitors just the tv's never had much to do with them as not needed to.

Any other help would be great
