No it's nothing to do with shooting annoying birds, feathered or otherwise :-D

Just reading an article on the top 10 Controversies in the Olympics.
2 Athletes have been sent home for Tweeting derogatory/racial comments on twitter.
Now I don't have twitter and know very little about it, but I know what it is, but I'm starting to wonder if Celebrities do, I've read so many stories about people tweeting things that come back to bite them in the butt.
Facebook is the same, I don't know how many articles I'ver read about people posting things about their job or boss on FB and getting fired for it.

Seriously, how stupid are people? If you are in the limelight , why on gods green earth would you publicly post something you know full well if you stood up and verbally state would get you in trouble?
Is it a lack of common sense or do they not know these things are public (obviously within the realm or friends and contacts) and seen by many people and that's it's not a private conversation?

Hell when I've complained about work on here I'm still pretty coy about it even though no one at work knows my online persona.

It just annoys me that people can be so stupid, especially when you've worked so damn hard for that elusive Olympic spot.

Also swaying off topic but the Olympics have been handled quite badly and is embarrassing me , hundreds of empty seats, wrong flags being flown, referee's being sent home for poor choices, Olympians throwing events to try and circumvent the harder opposition. I think it's sad to see

    Rant over :-D

Every day the Olympics and those who control them get ever more farcical, from you must not wear clothing with logo's of non sponsors to not being able to bring your own sandwiches and bottles of water.
The corporate sponsors have turned it into a complete shambles,it used to be about competing at sport by amateurs for the honor of representing their country but it is now about how much money can be made by certain powerful members of the so called VIP sector who's every wish is pandered to,they have their own traffic lanes in a city that is normally grid locked with traffic and yesterday in one of the newspapers was a story where a group of VIPs spent £44.000 on a lunch that included a bottle of cognac from the 1800s that cost £19.000 all on a taxpayer funded credit card.
The stories just go on and on and no doubt London has shamed itself because of the stupid antics of those who feel they should cause untold misery to the general public just to make life pleasant for the few.
Could go on for hours but it would get very boring.
