Hello and greetings all, My name is Chris and I'm in desperate need of help on three different subjects. One I know of as a Trojan but the second I'm not sure of if it's a spyware or not.

    Problem One:
First of all I have an E-machine...and I say that because sometimes if I'm trying to view a website it redirects me to a bad page. This page is E-machine search and says I was looking for something Competly different then I was. Like something that doesn't even make sense. Ex "google.com/hws/emachines/afe?hl=en&s=http://1431234123/&rdr=afe"
Is this caused by some virus? or is it my settings to blame?

    Problem Two:
I have and I cannot get rid of "trojan-phisher-snifula" is there any easy way to get rid of it? Spysweeper and everything else can't seem to get it.

    Problem Three:
I cannot for some reason start in safemode...I really don't understand why it doesn't give me the options.

    Here are my Specs
    Microsoft Windows XP Home edition
    Version 2002 service pack 2
    E-machines
    Pent 4
    3.20 Ghz
    368 RAM

Any more information I'm be happy to provide, and I would be ever so thankful for any and all help given

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

Your first problems may just be settings. The others require more information and the below procedure will help us get this info.

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
      • CounterSpy
      • AVG Antispyware log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy
      • Bitdefender - from step 6
      • Panda Scan - from step 6
      • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
      • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
      • HijackThis
NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!
