BIOS is written to CMOS memory, how in the H*ll did you manage to get two BIOS's written to CMOS, come on there has to be a great story here.................

My suggest would be to remove the CMOS Battery (preferable overnight) then reinstall a new battery(simple because this is a good time unless its a TOTALLY new battery) this will reset your BIOS to its original state (Just on BIOS) then you can proceed from there. Hope that helps still want to hear the two BIOPS story though

I want to hear this also. Your computer physically can only have one Bios on the motherboard, and if you try to load a new Bios Firmware update without knowing the proper model, you pretty much have to either replace the Bios, or buy a new motherboard.

sheesh BC, are you behind the times or what? (tongue in cheek)..lol!

Hi scott, I think you may be confusing the bios software located in cmos, with the operating system software located on your hard drive or install disc.

My guess is you are having problems formatting from the install disc?

Can you explain exactly what is occuring as you attempt to reinstall XP.

Edit: sorry, i am slow at my posts today.....

    Regards.....
