Two Gmail Accounts, And I Want To Delete One Of Them

I had a problem with my only Gmail account. I deleted it. Then I created a new account. After that, I was finally able to restore my original Gmail account. Now I have two accounts and the newest one is the "main" account.

I only want one Gmail account, and I think that by deleting my new main account, the original account should automatically become my only account. However, I'm a bit hesitant to do that. If I do delete my new account, will it cause any problems with my original account?

    Hi

Do the Gmail account have differnet account names and email adresses?
If both have different account and email names then no should not cause an issue.

What device or software (e.g. Outlook/Mobile phone) do you view emails from Gmail?

Yes, the two accounts have different names and addresses. "original@" and "new@" (for example).

I can view each emails from Gmail on my Pixel 7 Pro by tapping the phone's Gmail icon. Usually, "new@" comes up.

"new@" also comes up when I look at various other things on the cellphone. But if I want, I have the option of tapping "original@".

I don't want, nor do I need the "new@" account but I'm not sure how to delete it without affecting "original@". I just want "original@" on the cellphone. It has to be something simple...

    More info...

I just tried to delete "new@" from my cellphone by using my cellphone.

I started Gmail. My "new" image appeared in my profile picture.

I tapped my profile picture and then tapped "Manage your Google Account".

I tapped "Data & privacy", then tapped "More options", then tapped "Delete your Google Account", then tapped "Continue" and then tapped in my passkey. A "Delete your Google Account" screen appeared.

I read that screen and it leads me to believe that if I continue, my entire "new@" account would be deleted. I don't want to delete my "new@" account. I just don't want it to appear on my cellphone. I only want "original@" to appear.

If that's not possible, then I want "original@" to appear as my Primary account on my cellphone.

I hope this clarifies what I want to do.
