There's 2 Internet Explorer icons on the desktop of this laptop; one is the newer IE icon with the yellow band around the blue 'e', it's a shortcut, and when you double click it it opens IE and I'm surfing the web. The other icon is the standard blue 'e', when double-clicked it does nothing or creates a 'dead' shortcut that does nothing. But, if you right click the 2nd icon, and go to Properties, you get to the window where you can change your home page, setup a connection, etc., just like if you went to Internet Options in the Control Panel.... what's up with that? I'd rather not have 2 IE icons, but it seems that I can't dump either one without causing a problem; if I delete the shortcut, I can't get online from the desktop. If I delete the other icon, who knows what will happen..... any ideas, thoughts, or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanx!
