I have a new Gateway with Windows XP, Microsoft Antispyware, AVG, CCleaner, Spybot, Adaware, CW Shredder and SpyBot SD.

    1. Lately when I go to a shopping site, or even to check my hotmail, it has the little lock sybol that it is a secure site, but then a little box comes up saying, you are going to a non secure site where your infor may be viewed by others. This happens on Amazon, ShopNBC etc. What should I do?

    2. I have a wireless keyboard, does that make it less safe on the internet?

    Thank you.

    1. Thats - weird. As long as the location bar says https://someplace.com (note the s) then you should be using SSL, therefore be sending secure information. When you leave the secure area (i.e. navigate away) you might get a popup saying that you're going to a non-secure site. If there is another frame open (such as an advertisment banner) that may sometimes come up as an "insecure element", since it is not being sent to you using SSL.

    2. Unless someone is standing less than 2 or 3 meters from your computer - no. It'd only be a problem if you were really really paranoid, and you're expecting someone to be actively trying to steal your information.
