i got two emails from my mom with links in them with nothing else in them- not even a subject. so i click on the first one considering i got avg, spybot, and avira as well as commodo for safeguards along with peerblock. nothing happened so i took steps to ensure that nothing was in my computer by scanning the HD-nothing.

my question is this: how i know whether or not the two links that were in the email are Trojans? i am not going to post them yet due to the fact that some people in forums just randomly click on anything(i know i done it too at one time or another.)

also i new here so if i placed this in the wrong please forgive me i a newb in here.

If none of your protection software flagged it, then they may not have been malware. I would advise you, however, to either keep AVG or Avira and uninstall the other one. You should only have one real time AV program running.

Either AV program would be good, its just a matter of which you prefer.
